Game of Thrones' George R.R. Martin Bringing Roadmarks to HBO

George R.R. Martin is coming back to HBO, this time to bring a TV adaptation of Roger Zelazny's "Roadmarks" to the screen. And yes, there will be dragons.

The "Game of Thrones" creator will be executive producing the series, which was written by Kalinda Vazquez ("Star Trek: Discovery", "The Walking Dead").

"Roadmarks" was published in 1979 and follows the story about a highway that travels through time, a highway that people use for a variety of reasons - from solving their life's problems or exploring the mysteries of the world.

"My career in television started in 1985 when I adapted Roger Zelazny's Last Defender of Camelot for The Twilight Zone. Roger was a friend, a mentor, and one of the greatest science fiction writers who ever lived. It was an honor to be able to bring his work to television. That is why I am so thrilled to be a part of adapting Roger's novel Roadmarks for HBO. We have a great book, a great screenwriter in Kalinda Vasquez, and the makings of a wonderful, original show.  I look forward to a long and thrilling journey," said George R.R. Martin.
